Puffy Paws Weekend Update - November
24th, 2008 I cannot believe another week flew by. Lets see were do I start.
Our fund
raising ,Gem & Jewelry Show at the Braemar British Pub in Englewood featuring Jewels from Park Lane was a success.
We would like to thank the owners and staff for a great job by providing us a excellent establishment.
They even
treated us to their fantastic “All You Can Eat”- Fish And Chips. Talk about large portions. Yummy ! I had to take
some of mine home and the kitties got to it first.
Also a big shout out goes out to Madelyn Longwell from Jewels
from Park Lane for putting on such a great show.
A great big thank you goes out to Terry Vaughn for all her support
for the kitties.
The kitties received a early Christmas present from Cathy Shockweiler. Four huge cat trees came
by UPS. We took in Cathy’s kitties awhile back and she said that she will take care of the cats at Puffy Paws and this
is their second big Christmas brought to you by Cathy. We can not thank her enough.
The WENG / Puffy Paws Kitty
Haven – Kitty of the week is Lucky. He is a male tuxedo 13 week old kitten that is very loving and need that special
someone to love him.
This brave little tuxedo kitten received his name because he is lucky to be alive since he
was thrown from a speeding car last week and a very caring gentleman saw this tragic event happen and rescued him from the
roadside and brought him to Puffy Paws. So come on out and adopt this little brave guy !
We are still in need of
a used video camcorder with Micro - phone inputs and a washing machine.
Our MySpace page got a brand new
blue look. We even added new tunes and pictures.Check it out on the link on the left. We even added cool tunes to our
Homepage so let it warm up and bang your head ! Check out the cool new slide show above. These are the pixs from our
last week activities.
I wrote a letter to the Editor, in the Englewood Sun Herald and the Sarasota Herald Tribune
,so watch out for it. Its about the Best of Mankind and the Worst !
Plus if you can donate to our Spray and Neuter
fund that will be great !
Have a great Turkey Day !

Puffy Paws Weekend Update - November 16th, 2008
What
a busy week we had over here at Puffy Paws. I just want everyone to know we had 3 kitties adopted out. 2 kittens , Freddie
and Blueberry and one adult kitty, Goldie who is a beautiful orange kitty. Goldie was with us for four years. I rescued Goldie
from Indian Mounds Park.
One of his strange quarks was that he loved to chew on plastic. We attribute this to
the fact, that this is how he survived by scrounging through the garbage at the park, licking hotdog and hamburger packages
.We are going to miss him but he deserve a fur-ever home all to himself
We got one junk car donated to us by a
employee of a new lobster seafood shop down in Placida. Plus they donated two lobsters to raffle off at our fund raiser on
Friday. We would also like to thank everyone who donated gift certificates this week for our raffle.
We our in
the middle of our Business Holiday Fund Raising Drive. Last week we did very well. Lots of business folks made a donation
for a nice listing in our business directory on our Web site, despite the economic hard times that many small business folks
are facing locally. It just goes to show you what a great community we live in. We can not thank these fine people enough.
I will be writing an article for the Englewood Sun Herald, to let the Community know what is going on with the kitties
over here at Puffy Paws. They have a new Editor over there and he is really a true friend to the kitties.
Until
next time.

Puffy Paws Weekend Update - November 7th, 2008
Well the kitties are doing good over here at Puffy Paws and
I’m doing fine after my heart catheterization on Election Day. The procedure went fine. I would like to thank everyone
who had me in their prays.
I feel much better than before I fall ill in this summer. When your heart is not working
at full swing something’s in life are put on the back-burner. And now that I’m a 100 percent better there
is so much to do with so little time in the day to get everything done. But we keep pushing on.
First of all I
would like to let everyone know that we have a Telemarketing Fund-raising Membership Campaign in process right
now. We have one Fundraiser (Bobby Gilbert) and me. Since we only have two phone lines in seems to be working out.
I have a extensive background in working the phones.I got my start way back in 1988 in Sarasota. Through out the
years I have raised funds for the Fire Fighters, Police, Sheriffs, State Troopers, and Veterans Groups.
Instead
of calling on behalf of the brave men and woman in uniform. I now call to raise funds for the kitties in fur. So if
we call you, please be kind and buy a Membership to Puffy Paws !
Also Bobby Gilbert will begin to build a database
of the kitties friends. This will let us send out our Newsletter, special invitations to our events and Thank You notes for
their kindness. This is major step over here for us, Micro-Managing Puffy Paws so we can take Puffy Paws to the next level.
Speaking of the next level. The kitties lawyers who are working on the 501(c)(3) are in eager anticipation of
our finical records which are being prepared and input into Quick Books by Jackie Hart our Volunteer Coordinator, poor Jackie
has been working long hours on this project due to the fact that we gave her a box of receipts and wished her lucked.
After she inputs them in Quick Books, off they go to the kitties lawyers and a CPA. By the way we are in need of a
CPA services. If you are or know of a CPA that can help us out please call us. Do not forget to mark on your calender our awesome fundraising
Gem & Jewelry Show at the Braemar British Pub in Englewood on November 21,2008. Enjoy your weekend and remember Spray and Neuter your pets. Rick
